For Nonprofits
A share of Treasure KC platform revenue and member giving is allocated to Kansas City nonprofits and community causes. Learn how community funding and revenue allocation work.
Revenue Allocation for Community
20% of all Treasure KC platform revenue is directed to the Member Voting Board — a 5-member elected board whose sole purpose is to fund local community projects. Any member can submit a project. Members elect the board. Nonprofits and community organizations are primary beneficiaries.
Member Voting Board Eligibility
To be eligible for the Member Voting Board, a member must have volunteered with a nonprofit within the last year. This keeps the board grounded in real community involvement. Members who serve earn the 'Treasure KC Board Member' title.
Why Volunteer Affiliation Matters
Volunteers at Treasure KC-affiliated nonprofits earn TKC rewards (10 TKC per check-in plus standing boosts), which strengthens their Wealth Passport Community lane. The nonprofit-platform relationship is built on real participation, not just donations.
